1. What does this feature do? (High-Level Overview)

Section titled “1. What does this feature do? (High-Level Overview)”

This feature organizes the treatment goals inside the BIP so teams can create, update, and follow progress more clearly. It helps keep behavior goals, skill-acquisition goals, staff training goals, caregiver training goals, and teacher training goals structured in one place.

Use this index as the entry point for the full documentation set.

  • Users with BIP edit access (manage_bips): Can create, edit, discontinue, and delete plans and goals.
  • Users with BIP view access (view_bips): Can review the plans and goals in read-only mode.
  • Users with BIP export access (export_bip): Can export the BIP when export access is available.
  • Rule 1: The feature is centered on the main plan and goal tabs: Maladaptives, Replacements, RBT Training Plans, and Caregiver Training Plans.
  • Rule 2: Each tab supports plans that can contain Short-Term Outcomes (STOs) and Long-Term Outcomes (LTOs).
  • Rule 3: The application uses progress and status workflows to help keep objectives in order.
  • Rule 4: Some rules are shared across all plan types, while others are specific to one area, especially Maladaptives and Replacements.
  • Rule 5: Teacher Training is currently shown from within the Caregiver Training experience, but it is documented separately in this documentation set.
